He is the author of&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambriapress.com\/pub.cfm?bid=103\">Narrating the Prison<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>(Cambria Press, 2007) and&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nebraskapress.unl.edu\/nebraska\/9780803278684\/unnatural-narrative\/\">Unnatural Narrative: Impossible Worlds in Fiction and Drama<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;(University of Nebraska Press, 2016). Alber received fellowships and research grants from the British Academy, the Exploratory Research Space at RWTH Aachen University, the German Research Foundation, the Humboldt Foundation, and the Ministry for Culture and Science of Northrhine-Westphalia. From 2014 to 2016, he was a Marie-Curie Fellow at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (Denmark). Her research specialisms are stylistics, narratology, empirical literary methods, and digital fiction. Her research interests include reader responses to (translated\/multilingual) literary texts, the production and circulation of literature and the sociology of literature. Her publications have appeared in&nbsp;<em>Cultus<\/em>, the&nbsp;<em>AALITRA Review<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>JoSTrans<\/em>.
